Coaching points
- The onside crease man picks at the far pipe, about 5 yards off goal line extended. The far crease man cuts off it as X plants.
- X: drive and plant at goal line extended. The first pass goes to the first cutter on your first step back; the second pass goes to the picker, the other cutter, on your second step back.
- If you beat your man and nobody slides, take it to goal. If a slide comes, find the open man.
- Kaley and Donovan drill it 3v2 with a feeder at X, then 4v4 with a second attackman behind. The 1-4-1 around it here is our setting, not theirs.
- This is Kaley and Donovan's Bow Tie, a coach's variation. Their timing rule (first step back, second step back) is the part to teach.
