Coaching points
- Three two-man games: the top pair, the crease pair and the pair behind. The crease pair stays away from the ball (Boyle).
- Up top: one man gets high and to the middle, the other picks for him and rolls away as the outlet behind.
- If your defender slides, follow the slide a step behind him with your stick up; the next man balances the space.
- Boyle's roll-off: when the slide comes, one crease man follows it and the other vacates, straight up or to the backside; move it quickly to the vacated man.
- Make your best player the roll-off man, not the one who starts it (Boyle). Some call the 2-2-2 a novice set (Lacrosse Unlimited); others call it complicated (Wikipedia).
