Coaching points
- The wing the dodger runs at clears through shallow to the crease to empty the lane. His defender has to go with him, so the dodger has room to shoot (LaxLibrary).
- If his defender stays to help on the dodger, the clear-through man is open in front: feed him (LaxLibrary's crease-pop page, UVM).
- Crease man, stretch to the back pipe as the dodge starts so your defender is pulled away and any slide comes from farther.
- LaxLibrary's free text ends at the clear-through; the feed and the rotation are from 2-3-1 Alley Dodge and Rotate. An easier skill for young players than the full 3-man or 6-man rotations.
- Back up the shot: X sprints for the end line on the far side as the shot goes. On a shot that goes out, the team of the nearest player gets the ball.
