Matchup Zone
Zone spacing with man rules — you own an area, but you cover whoever walks into it and pass the cutter off.
Install notes
A hybrid: the alignment mirrors a 2-3-1 offense, but nobody chases across the field. When an offensive player leaves your area you release him and call the pass-off; when one enters, you pick him up on the ball-side hip. The failure mode is silence — this defense only works if every hand-off is called out loud. Good against motion and off-ball picks, which is exactly what beats straight man.
