Coaching points
- Goalie behind the cage. Their first attackman makes him throw to a wing defender; the second pressures that defender and the first stays on the goalie to shut off the pass back.
- Our three middies start onside, below the midline, and cut upfield over it. We time the cuts with the pass across; the playbook draws the cuts, not when.
- Defender with the ball: look for the middle defender cutting upfield if nobody covers him, or the far defender moving up the opposite wing.
- The far defender can carry it over or find the middle middie cutting upfield. When he carries over, a middie comes back onside.
- From the Timberlane and East Roanoke playbook (see Triangle Ride for the same drill from the riders' side).
