Coaching points
- Six against seven. If you don't need a goal, stay big, stay patient and use up the card, inside your possession clock where you play one: stalls are common here.
- To score: move the ball quickly, always in the same direction, so the double never sets up. Stay as big as possible so every slide is long.
- The extra defender is a backer. Keep the ball moving away from her and the 1v1 opens on the far side.
- From Achieve Lacrosse and US Lacrosse's Level 3 workbook. LaxPlaybook adds two-player action to occupy the backer (members-only, not drawn).
