FRAME half (goal at top): 0.167 goal line · 0.36 top of 8m arc · 0.433 top of 12m fan. Not a codified system — it is man defence played a full step off the mark to deny the inside and concede the outside shot, and it is the honest place to teach the two spacing laws. Sagging is exactly where three seconds bites: every sagged defender sitting inside the arc must be within a stick's length of an attacker, so the sag is legal only if each defender sags toward a body, not toward the crease. And the deeper the pack, the more bodies end up in shooting lanes — the crease defender must be goal-side of her mark, never between the ball and the cage while unmarked. Use against a team that cannot shoot from range; abandon it against one that can.
