Coaching points
- Guard your zone, not a man. When the ball is in your zone, step out and pressure it; when it leaves, the bungee pulls you back toward the crease.
- Don't follow a pass or a dodge. Hand him to the next zone, and yell Switch when he sweeps across.
- Only when the ball gets near or behind GLE do our crease defender and the top-center man slide down. As the ball comes round the net, our crease defender gets home first; then the top-center man goes back up.
- Nobody gets the inside. You are giving up the outside shot, so a zone needs a goalie who is seeing it well.
