Coaching points
- Top middies: pressure the ball as it comes in and force it inside. Getting dodged is fine if he goes inside, because the backer steps up and meets him.
- Backer: always between the ball and the crease. Fill any zone a double leaves, and pick up anybody who goes straight to the cage.
- Wing poles don't chase on the wings or behind GLE. Ball behind: the crease defender plays X, takes away the outside and gives the inside to the backer.
- Kaley and Donovan and Gould Academy put two short sticks up top; Lax Goalie Rat runs four poles in quadrants with a short-stick backer and the other short stick locking the crease man.
