Coaching points
- Use the space: spread out, draw a defender, and move it to the open man (LaxLibrary).
- Against the stack, draw the top man out at about 12 yards and pass to a low man. Their low man has to take him, so the other low man across the crease is open until the top man drops to cover him (drawn from Zimmerman and England's stack).
- Receivers, keep moving toward the ball while you call for it. It drags your defender and opens the room behind him (Nick Pietras).
- The pass across the front of the cage is the one both defenders can play, so it is a read: throw it only when their top man is slow to drop. When he drops in time, move it back up top. The pass order is inferred, so it ships as a coach's variation.
