Coaching points
- Crease is Hot: slide to where the dodger is going, not where he is. Tierney: go when you see the back of his head.
- The second slide comes from the backside: the far wing defender drops to the crease man and calls "I'm two". The third drops from the far top to split the backside pair.
- On ball: drive him down the alley. Stay on his back hip, stick on his hands, so he can't roll back. The slide takes the front (Belgium).
- Slider: lead with your stick and follow with your body. When the ball goes back out, get back and bump: take your man and send the teammate on him back to his own (see Slide Recovery).
