Coaching points
- On a dodge from X, overplay his top side and force the inside roll, back toward the cage and into the slide.
- The crease defender is Hot and slides early to block the crease at the near pipe. The backside wing drops to the crease man; the far top drops in behind him.
- Lax Goalie Rat and Bill Cherry send the slide from the backside corner instead when the ball is behind (see Coma Slide). Tierney and the Canadian manual slide from the crease. Choose one and call it before the play.
- Lax Goalie Rat's goalie yells "Pipe" a step before the X defender reaches GLE, so he knows he is at the pipe; "Turn" tells him to turn the dodger back inside.
