Coaching points
- On the save the goalie yells Clear and everybody runs to open space: wide defensemen break to the alleys (the strip between the box line and the sideline), the crease defenseman stays home and reads the ride, middies run upfield.
- The goalie is the quarterback. Find the open short-stick middie fast; one uncovered at the midline is the best outlet there is.
- The receiver pushes straight into a 4v3 while the attack sets the L. Your other two middies hold short of midfield until the clear is made (our choice), so if a pole carries it over instead, a middie is already back (Middie back!) and you stay onside.
- Lax Goalie Rat's Clear call, Kaley and Donovan's break-out, Wikipedia's unsettled clear, Patrick DeBenedictis's quarterback and the PLL example (LaxAllStars).
